Golden North Co. was born from the belief that even when life takes unexpected turns, there’s always a way back to something beautiful.

Founder Alix built a successful career — but when she became a mother, everything changed. She chose to leave behind her job, her community, and the life she had known to move to a small mountain town, so her son could have what mattered most: both of his parents close, and a mom who showed up with her whole heart.

What followed was a season of unraveling.
She lost her income, her sense of stability, and the future she thought she was building. There were nights she cried herself to sleep, wondering if she’d made a terrible mistake — wondering if she had anything left to give.

But in that silence, something powerful emerged:
the pull to create again. The urge to turn her pain into purpose.
To take something raw — metal, wire, stone — and shape it into something meaningful.

Golden North is a reflection of that journey — a reminder that we are always allowed to begin again. That beauty and strength can live side by side. And that when we follow our true north, life has a way of becoming golden again.

This brand was born during one of the hardest seasons of my life — a time when I had lost my career, my stability, and almost all hope. But through that darkness, I returned to what I’ve always known: how to create beauty from rawness.

Every piece I make is a reminder that we’re allowed to begin again. That strength and softness can coexist. That even when life falls apart, we can still find our way toward something golden.
